Part of being healthy is learning what not to include in your diet.
Did you know that the FDA hasn't reviewed the safety of thousands of food additives and isn't aware that many of them exist? That means that possibly dozens of products sitting in your kitchen right now could be filled with questionable additives linked to all sorts of health issues.
The additives listed below have been identified by New York Times Best Seller, Vani Hari aka Food Babe. If you're not familiar with Vani, I would encourage you to check out what she has to offer.
This list includes the most important ingredients to avoid in processed foods, because they have been found to be associated with negative health issues. If a product contains any of the additives below, try finding an alternative or make the food at home, from scratch.
- Acesulfame potassium
- Artificial flavors
- Aspartame (NutraSweet)
- Autolyzed yeast extract
- BHA and BHT
- Bleached flour
- Calcium peroxide
- Carrageenan
- Cellulose
- Cottonseed oil
- Partially hydrogenated oils
- TBHQ
- Yeast extract

Take simple action, 1-2 things every week and go from there.
Here are a few to get you started:
- Drink warm lemon water first thing in the morning - this will help to stimulate the liver and remove both environmental and lifestyle toxins.
- Fast every day - try to allow your body to rest for 12 straight hours. This gives your body time to repair and regenerate new cells.
- Drink a green juice/smoothie daily - this will help you get in more fruits & veggies easily
