Trust Your Voice
Jul 23, 2024
We often ignore our "gut instincts", but the body has a lot to say! Food is information and the ways that we choose to eat affect our bodies.
Connecting with your body's response to food with non-judgement might feel easier than connecting with your intuition, or maybe not. Everyone is different! However, both are important for developing self-trust.
Developing self-trust requires listening to your intuition, or your unique "voice." This can be very empowering, and it goes beyond food!
It's important to practice self-trust. Developing self-trust requires taking risks and continually learning what works and doesn't work for you.
Think about how you can practice self-trust in different areas of your life. For example, with regard to your relationships, your career, and decisions that you have to make.
Honor self-trust. Think about your eating habits and your relationship with food:
- Think about how your body responds to different ways of eating. This could include both what you eat and how you eat.
- Describe the role that trusting your intuition, or "voice" played - or didn't play in your food choices.
- If it's an example of not trusting your voice, think about some adjustments you could try making that might demonstrate trusting your voice.
Spend some time thinking about ways that you can trust your voice. It's important to take some time to listen to your unique intuition and what your body is trying to tell you.
